Travelling on foot the southernmost tip of the American continent, dedicated to those who love walking with the knapsack on their shoulder, to the adventurous, or those who simply desire a deeper approach with the uncontaminated nature of Patagonia. The program does not present any particular difficulties and anyone in normal physical condition, can easily afford it. All you will need is: trekking boots, sunglasses, gloves, wool zucchetto, binoculars if you wish and of course our special knapsack and our waterproof jacket

The tour cost includes:
-  Air travel, with scheduled airline, in economy class, departure from Rome 
-  Airport tax payable at point of origin and fuel surcharge

Day 1 – POINT OF ORIGIN / SANTIAGO

With scheduled flight from Italy to Santiago, Meals and overnight on board

Day 2 - SANTIAGO

Arriving in Santiago, meet with our local representative and transfer to hotel afternoon city sightseeing…. the historical old town, with the Cathedral in neo-classical style, the government building "La Moneda", so called because it was the official site of the mint in the late eighteenth century; the pedestrian area of the Paseo Ahumada, the commercial heart of the city;
the bohemian neighbourhood of Bellavista, one of the liveliest of the city, Cerro San Cristobal, with a magnificent panoramic view of the city and of the Cordillera of the Andes; the "Graneros del Alba, the most famous local craft centre, for a bit of shopping…. Overnight.

Day 3 – SANTIAGO / PUNTA ARENAS / TORRES DEL PAINE

Breakfast at hotel, in the morning departure by scheduled flight to Punta Arenas, upon arrival, meet with our local representative and transfer to Torres del Paine National Park, crossing the Amarga lake area from where, the famous granite massif, can be well observed, hotel accommodation, overnight.

Day 4 – TORRES DEL PAINE

Breakfast at hotel, full day excursion, to explore the National Park, passing through Salto Chico, river Paine, Port Weber, lake Toro, up to lake Gray, to observe the glaciers with the characteristic blue colour, in fact, the oldest and compact is the ice and darker is the blue, back to the hotel in the evening, overnight.

Day 5 – TORRES DEL PAINE

Breakfast at hotel, half day guided trek to get to know better, one of the most beautiful and unspoilt parks of the entire Patagonia, overnight.

Day 6 – TORRES DEL PAINE

Breakfast at hotel, full day guided trek to the Paine towers,. packed lunch will be provided, eturn to the hotel in the afternoon, overnight.

Day 7 – TORRES DEL PAINE – EL CALAFATE

Breakfast at hotel, morning transfer to the Chile / Argentina border, continuing then to the town of El Calafate, arrival in the afternoon, hotel accommodation, overnight.

PinguiniDay 8 – EL CALAFATE

Breakfast at hotel, full day sailing excursion on the Argentino lake, the navigation will lead us to observe at close range, the glaciers of Onelli and Upsala, which leave the observer in awe in front of their majesty, it is almost ethereal to sail amongst huge icebergs floating on the water, listening every now and then to the loud thuds of more ice slabs breaking from the glacier fronts Lunch will be served in the course of the excursion, eaten in the fantastic theatre of the enchanting nature, return at the hotel in the afternoon, overnight.

Day 9 – EL CALAFATE

Breakfast at hotel, full day excursion to the glacier “Perito Moreno” which is the main attraction of the Glaciers National Park, consisting of 13 glaciers, covering an area of roughly 300 square kilometres that from the top of the Andes slide into the lakes: Argentino and Viedma, the best feature of the Perito Moreno glacier is its accessibility: the front, 3 km wide, 70 feet high for a 35 km depth is incredibly observable from a few feet, the Perito Moreno glacier is one of few in the world  still slightly advancing, so is not unusual to hear loud rumbles, due to cracks that occur in its depth, it is also usual to observe large icebergs that break off loudly from its front.
Early morning start, so to be able to spend a couple of hours to walk the footbridges in front of the glacier, lunch at the restaurant, then cross the lake by boat and start a mini-trek for about two hours, walking on the glacier, an unforgettable experience. (Do not forget sunglasses and gloves). Return to the hotel in the evening, overnight.

Day 10 – EL CALAFATE / EL CHALTEN

Breakfast at hotel, overland transfer to the village of El Chalten, approx  220 km, the village is located right at the base of the breathtaking peaks of Fitz Roy and Cerro Torre, particularly fascinating  the view from a distance of the mountains, while driving along the charming Lake Viedma, upon arrival, hotel accommodation, overnight.

Day 11 – EL CHALTEN

Breakfast at hotel, full day guided trek up to the base camp for climbers, waiting waiting to ascent on Fitz Roy, the hike, is not particularly challenging, can be afforded by anyone.
From base camp, with a 50 minutes walk a magnificent panoramic point, may also be reached, provisions for lunch, must be made in the village before leaving, do not forget sunglasses, gloves and a wool skullcap, against the ever present cold wind, back in the afternoon, overnight.

Day 12 – EL CHALTEN

Breakfast at hotel, full day guided trek through the various paths, reaching the foothills of the mountains that have seen the exploits of the most famous climbers in the world, provisions for lunch, must be made in the village before leaving, back in the afternoon, overnight.

Day 13 – EL CHALTEN / EL CALAFATE / BUENOS AIRES

Breakfast at hotel, afternoon transfer to El Calafate airport and departure by scheduled flight to Buenos Aires, upon arrival, meet with our local representative and transfer to hotel, overnight.

Day 14 – BUENOS AIRES

Breakfast at hotel, morning city sightseeing, Buenos Aires is a megalopolis of nearly twelve million inhabitants and is also one of the finest cities in South America…. the picturesque Italian neighborhood of “La Boca” where you will walk along the “Calle Caminito” where evidence of a ethnic-cultural heritage is still left intact…..,” Plaza del Congreso” point of origin of all the Argentinian roads, with its monument at “Los Dos Congresos”…., Plaza de Mayo, which has witnessed all the most important events in the history of Argentina, and where to find representative buildings, such as the “Cabildo”, the Cathedral and the presidential palace “Casa Rosada”…..,”la Recoleta” an elegant area with many attractions, amongst which the famous cemetery and the colonial church of “El Pilar”….,San Telmo, possibly one of the oldest areas of town with its colonial buildings with their resident artists and artisans, meeting point of tango lovers in the many “milongas”, very famous on Sunday, on its main square is the antiques and “fleas” market…..rest of the day at leisure, Overnight.

Day 15 – BUENOS AIRES / POINT OF ORIGIN

Breakfast at hotel, day at leisure, up to the time to transfer to the airport, departure by scheduled flight to Italy, meals and overnight onboard.

Day 16 – POINT OF ORIGIN

Arrival in the morning at the point of origin, end of our services.
