Day 12 – EL CALAFATE
Breakfast at hotel, our suggestion for the day, is to go and explore, what we consider the focal point of a voyage to Patagonia, the Perito Moreno glacier, about 120 km from the village, the best feature of the Perito Moreno glacier is its accessibility: the front, 3 km wide, 70 feet high for 35 km depth is incredibly observable from a few feet, the Perito Moreno glacier is one of few in the world still slightly advancing, so is not unusual to hear loud rumbles, due to cracks that occur in its depth, it is also usual to observe large icebergs that break off loudly from its front, we also suggest a small boat trip under the glacier front, or alternatively feeling adventurous is possible to take a trek on the glacier, which last roughly four hours (it is advisable to book it in advance), return at the hotel in the evening, overnight.
Day 13 – EL CALAFATE / USHUAIA
