Breakfast at hotel, and…the adventure begins ... our local agent will deliver your 4x4 vehicle (Toyota Hilux) ready for departure and will report on the state of the roads, service stations and whatever else, maybe useful for your trip, we recommend to make provision in Comodoro of what maybe essential goods and personal effects, since it will not be possible to purchases such articles for the next 3 days, the first part of the day will be spent covering the approx 200 km to reach the petrified forest of Sarmento, please remember that in Patagonia is advisable to fill up at every service station, where are also usually found drinks and snacks, after the interesting visit to the petrified forest, continue westward until you meet the notorious Route 40, near the small town of Perito Moreno, after filling up proceed southward for just 30 more km to reach the Estancia Telken where a good dinner and a comfortable bed await you for the well deserved rest, overnight
(kilometres of the day: 450, of which 190 on unpaved road).

Day 5 – ESTANCIA TELKEN / CUEVA DE LAS MANOS / ESTANCIA LA ORIENTAL

After breakfast, and having bought some farm food for lunch, keep going south along the Route 40, up to the junction where will turn for the Cueva de las Manos, highly spectacular is the landscape surrounding the cave famous for its rock paintings, with a huge canyon that opens suddenly into a depression of the Patagonian steppe, after the walk to visit the cave, back on the road always heading south, immersed in the wild, untouched beauty of the ever tiring patagonian landscape, upon reaching the junction for the Perito Moreno National Park, turn towards the Estancia La Oriental, right inside the park, where to stop for dinner and overnight, warmly welcome by the hosts Pocholo and Gladys. (kilometres of the day: 420, all on unpaved road).

Day 6 – ESTANCIA LA ORIENTAL (Perito Moreno National Park)

Breakfast and dinner at the Estancia, day at leisure to explore the most attractive sites in the park, one of the most pristine in the whole world, it is estimated that only about 600 people a year visit it.

7° giorno - ES. LA ORIENTAL / ES. LA ANGOSTURA

Breakfast at the farm, then departure, always bearing south, for about 300 km, along the Ruta 40 to reach the area of  lake Cardiel, where we will stop for the night in the lovely farm La Angostura, located in a privileged position. Dinner at the farm overnight.

Day 8 – ESTANCIA LA ANGOSTURA / EL CALAFATE

Breakfast at the farm, since today's expected journey is relatively short (approximately 180 km) is possible to linger a few hours in the morning to explore the surroundings of the farm, thence always heading south proceed towards El Calafate, starting point for all the excursions to the Glaciers National Park, once again the ever changing landscape is quite impressive for its wild beauty and makes the trip a continues discovery, once in El Calafate it will be possible to find all sorts of articles in the village shops, accommodation and overnight at hotel.

Day 9 – EL CALAFATE

Breakfast at hotel, our suggestion for the day, is to go and explore, what we consider the focal point of a voyage to Patagonia,  the Perito Moreno glacier, about 120 km from the village, the best feature of the Perito Moreno glacier is its accessibility: the front, 3 km wide, 70 feet high for 35 km depth is incredibly observable from a few feet, the Perito Moreno glacier is one of few in the world  still slightly advancing, so is not unusual to hear loud rumbles, due to cracks that occur in its depth, it is also usual to observe large icebergs that break off loudly from its front, we also suggest a small boat trip under the glacier front, or alternatively feeling adventurous is possible to take a trek on the glacier, which last roughly four hours (it is advisable to book it in advance), return at the hotel in the evening, overnight.

Ghiacciario

Day 10 – EL CALAFATE / USHUAIA

Breakfast at hotel, the driving… adventure…is about to end, only the 30 km from the village to the airport are left and….all on sealed road….(surely you will have fond memories of the uneven “Ruta 40”), drop off the car at the airport, then departure on a scheduled flight to Ushuaia, upon arrival, meet with our local representative, pick up the booked car at the rental counter, transfer to the hotel at leisure, accommodation and overnight.

Day 11 - USHUAIA

Breakfast at  hotel, in the morning, we will be waiting for you at the touristic pier, where will start your excursion by boat on the Beagle Channel, during which you may spot sea lions, cormorants and many other species of birds, we suggest to spend the afternoon visiting the Tierra del Fuego National Park, where, can be observed:  trees deformed by wind, various different floral species, coloured fox, wild rabbits, beavers and wild geese, overnight.

Day 12 – USHUAIA / TRELEW / PUERTO MADRYN

Breakfast at hotel, morning at leisure for relax or shopping, taking advantage of Ushuaia, being a tax free port; drop off the rented car at the airport and departure by schedule flight to Trelew, upon arrival, meet with our local representative, pick up the booked car at the rental counter and head at leisure to Puerto Madryn at a distance of roughly 65 km, hotel accommodation and overnight.

Day 13 – PUERTO MADRYN

Breakfast at hotel, we suggest to spend the day exploring the Peninsula Valdes, immense open air zoological park, rich in fauna, available at close range, departing towards Puerto Piramides where weather permitting it will be possible to navigate on the bay to closely observe the whales that from June to mid-December, populate the Gulf (this excursion is optional and must be paid locally), continuing then for Punta Delgada, an enchanting and unique place, a sheer cliff overlooking the sea, where by walking on the beach, will be possible to observe the elephant seals, in their continental habitat, is possible to stop for a typical lunch at the restaurant of the “Estancia El Faro”, not to be missed a visit to “Caleta Valdes”, a long stretch of sand creating a lagoon, where sea lions, elephant seals and some penguins, can be observed, during the journey through the steppe other local animals such as: coloured fox, guanacos, maras, nandues and martinetas, may be observed, espect to get back in the late afternoon, overnight.

Day 14 – PUERTO MADRYN / PUNTA TOMBO / BUENOS AIRES

Breakfast at hotel, we suggest an early morning departure towards“Punta Tombo” approx 230 km, a natural reserve, where, one of the biggest colony in the world of Magellan Penguins, find refuge to breed during the austral summer and it will be absolutely fascinating to walk amongst thousands of those little funny animals, drinks, snacks and “empanadas” are available in a small café at the entrance of the park, after lunch, head for the airport approx 150 km, drop off the rented car at the airport and departure by schedule flight to Buenos Aires, upon arrival, meet with our local representative and transfer to hotel, rest of the day at leisure, overnight.
